KEY HIGHLIGHTS
Communication from head of nursery.
-She started by greeting and introducing herself.
-She welcomed and thanked parents for coming to support the school in all activities.
-In a special way, she welcomed and asked new parents to stand up for recognition.
-She went on and introduced teachers that represented Nursery section in the meeting.
-She informed and reminded parents of time for both arrival and departure as 7:00am to 12:00pm for half day and 4:00pm for full day pupils.
-She again updated parents on how the uniforms are put on (Monday, Wednesday and Friday – school uniform, Tuesday and Thursday sportswear).
-She again guided parents on how homework, how it is done and how they should help to guide children on doing it.
-She highlighted on the term as follows and asked parents to fully support and provide for their children.

-She highlighted parents on packing breakfast for their children, knowing what to pack for them and thanked them for caring.
-She also talked about safety in the school by asking parents to always be careful as they drive in the school compound to avoid accidents, on that same point of safety, she encouraged parents to always introduce people to pick their children to the class teacher.
-She advised parents to always keep children who are sick at home and get treated.
-She then encouraged parents to always monitor the child’s finds and what they watch on TVs, phones and other gadgets.
-She informed parents on how the previous P.7’s performed in PLE.
-She updated parents on clubs sighting out the new clubs introduced in the school i.e. chess and musical instruments.
-She also informed parents about the skilling hub introduced in the school as the education system demands for skilling.
-She again asked parents to update the school with their WhatsApp numbers for easy communication.
-She reminded parents that the school still has few vacancies and encouraged them to tell their friends to join the school.
-She concluded by appreciating the parents and encouraging them to keep up the spirit of cooperation.
-The head teacher informed parents of the tour which will take place on the 10th April at a fee of 70000shs and that children will be going to Entebbe.
Min 4: Reactions and way forward.
- One parents appreciated the school administration for the good work more so for co-operation and security.
-The same parent appreciated the school for grate performance of P.7, he asked the school administration to introduce the cards for picking of children.
Response: Parents to pick children and communicate to class teacher in case of any changes of the person.
-Another parent asked who gives first aid to the children. He again asked the school to provide breakfast for pupils since they might know what children like since they take most of time with them.
Response: The person has knowledge to give first aid.
-A parent needed clarification on clubs and lunch for babies in clubs.
Response: Lunch is for pupils in the clubs and they go 4:00pm, so the 30000shs caters for their lunch.
-Another parent was concerned with limitation of children to clubs saying that his child is not interested in the clubs they offer to nursery children.
Response: Nursery children are also allowed to do piano.
-Another parent was concerned about religious and how they cater for each sector.
-The meeting was adjourned at 8:48am with the prayer from a parent.
